Erik Chou

I like creating playgrounds.

Playgrounds are realms designed for serendipity. Here, interaction is redefined as an opportunity (rather than a cost). ex: multiplayer games, cardboard castles, undefined trails, abandoned gardens.

I care about the outdoors.

Backpacking plucks me out of an arbitrary matrix and into a familiar home of campfire and chatter. I want to interweave our carbon and silicon ecosystems.

I'm a tinkerer.

I like to build things without the burden of feeling useful. The freedom to wander. Tinkering is a tool for me to explore assumptions, test ideas, and learn about myself.

Small things matter.

I'm obsessive about my craft. I hate split-brain. Often, my entire world would become a single pixel or line of code.
